Autumn festival at the crèche - a day with the Grüffelo
This year, our crèche celebrated its autumn festival with a very special theme: "The Gruffalo" - in keeping with our current project, which the children have been working on with great enthusiasm over the past few weeks. Together with the Busy Bees and Little Mice groups, the children experienced a cheerful, colorful and cozy autumn day full of play, movement and creativity.
The event started with a lovingly prepared Grüffelo breakfast in the respective groups. Many parents had prepared small treats and brought them along. There was plenty to discover on the breakfast tables: a baguette snake, a vegetable owl, homemade "Grüffelo groats" and many other imaginative delicacies inspired by the animals from the well-known story.
After breakfast, each child was allowed to choose a headband and transform themselves into one of the book animals. Whether Grüffelo, mouse, fox, owl or snake - every child found their favorite character and slipped into the role with shining eyes.
Then it got musical: both groups met in the large dormitory to sing and dance the Grüffelo song together. The two groups opened the party together.
Afterwards, the party continued in the groups. The children worked together to create a large Grüffelo picture, which was covered with lots of brown pieces of paper, and played the fun game "Where does the green wart belong?", in which each child had to find the right place for the green dot on the Grüffelo. At the Grüffelo sports session that followed, everyone was able to let off steam again by throwing cans and playing movement games.
A big thank you goes to all the parents who enriched our party with the food they brought and their support. The many small contributions made our Grüffelo Autumn Festival a very special experience for the children.
