Recently, our gym was transformed into a large stage when the participatory theater came to visit. All the large kindergarten groups came together and even our older nursery children were there. There was great excitement as soon as they arrived: a real actor stood in the middle, surrounded by mysterious props, drums, coconut shells and a strangely curved tube - I wonder what it all meant?

He began his story with a great deal of humor and expression: it was about two knights who travelled through the country together, had adventures and finally ended up in a mysterious creepy castle. And what do you do in a creepy castle? Of course - you tell each other stories! So the knights whisked the children away to familiar fairytale worlds: Together, they acted out scenes from Sleeping Beauty and the Pied Piper of Hamelin, sang matching songs and slipped into the roles of the characters themselves.

It was particularly fascinating to see how the actor used simple means to create entire worlds. Two coconut shells were turned into the pattering of a horse, a rain pipe into the pattering of rain and a car funnel, an aquarium hose and a trumpet mouthpiece were used to create an impressive horn that sounded loudly across the room when the king was announced. This is how everyday objects became real theater props! 

The children were enthusiastic from start to finish: they helped to create various sounds, played brave knights, danced as Sleeping Beauty, sang along, laughed and were amazed. It wasn't so easy to choose just one child for a role at a time - the rush to take part was so great.

Thank you very much for this great morning - it was an unforgettable experience for all spectators, young and old.
