Fall festival at the kindergarten

When the leaves change color outside and autumn arrives, it also gets cozy in our kindergarten. Our fall festival began with all groups having breakfast together. With fresh bread rolls, fruit, vegetables and small treats, the children were able to arrive in peace, chat with each other and get in the mood for a special day, because after breakfast, the groups continued in very different ways.

The Butterflies focused on the potato. With a lot of imagination, the children transformed simple tubers into small works of art - decorated, stuffed, painted or lovingly decorated. All the potatoes were then weighed and compared with each other. The excitement was great, as each tuber had its own shape and weight. In the end, a surprise caused a lot of laughter: this year there were two potato kings, which made the whole group very happy.

The Frogs worked intensively with fruit and vegetables. Together, the children looked at and named different varieties and assigned them to appropriate categories. This resulted in their own little "Farmers Market". The children enthusiastically slipped into the roles of salespeople, offered their goods and traded playfully with play money. Along the way, this provided plenty of language opportunities, small arithmetic situations and initial experiences in role play.

Another highlight in the Frogs group was an autumnal sound story and a small puppet show entitled "The sunflower doesn't want to fade". With just a few props and a lot of imagination, sounds, pictures and small scenes were created in which the children were actively involved. They were allowed to join in, empathize and put themselves in different roles - a wonderful experience for everyone.

The Turtles also celebrated their own peaceful and colorful autumn festival. In their group, the focus was on shared experiences, conversations about autumn and small activities. The children observed what was changing outside, exchanged experiences and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the day.

A varied day lies behind us, on which the children were able to playfully discover the fall. Each group contributed their own ideas to make our fall festival a wonderful shared experience.
